About Dave

Despite having cerebral palsy Dave Copeland defied all odds and realized his goal of establishing a career. 

In 2012, he acquired his license to sell life insurance and other investment products. As an Independent Financial Advisor, his clients have been able to trust and rely on his knowledge and recommendations.

On February 1, 2019, he published his autobiography entitled, My Abilities Outweigh My Disability, through Balboa Press.  The book is the chronological story of growing up with a disability, of pursuing goals in school and his struggles in finding meaningful employment.

He obtained his mutual funds licence in July 2021 and is now able to assist individual with disabilities open and manage Registered Disability Savings Plans (RDSP’s).

He believes strongly in community service and is a past member of the Kinsmen Club of Sudbury and the Valley Kin Club, which are umbrella organizations of Kin Canada. Currently, he is the Chair of the Board of Directors of Independent Living Sudbury Manitoulin.
